Both generators share a single 1000-litre fuel tank and a single control unit, which alternates the work between them; guaranteeing the continuous supply of current and a balance between working hours of each compressor.
The RTSU adapts to 40ft refrigerated and 45ft refrigerated cargo containers, multiplying the flexibility of the system as it allows a small number of refrigerated containers to be transported on previously non-electrified trains.
The RTSU frames are placed on the upper corners of the refrigerated containers and remain securely anchored to them by a set of certified twistlocks.
This provides the system with the regular and stable flow necessary to feed the refrigerated wagons during the convoy. There are two variants of the generator set: 220Kva and 300Kva, depending on the performance and the number of refrigerated containers to be transported.
Using the latest technology, the RTSU feeds all reefer containers connected to the system according to the consumption needs, balancing the peaks and troughs and thus ensuring the perfect condition of the goods being transported.
Through an ergonomic and safe connection system, the electric current is transmitted to each and every reefer container that is to be transported. A mixed train is thus able to transport dry and refrigerated cargo at the same time.
With a minimum investment, and without any modification in the train's existing wagons, the versatility is multiplied, thus opening the possibilities of this mode of transport to many other participants who so far have only had road transport for their refrigerated goods.
